  • Make a habit of checking the oil of your car after some short interval of time and for this work locate the oil dipstick in the engine and if not sure where it is located then consult the owner’s manual. Once you find the dipstick get it removed from engine, clean it with a cloth and then place it back.
  • Whenever you change the oil of your car, also change the air and fuel filters to ensure your car’s best performance. If you don’t replace them with fuel then try to change them almost 2-3 times a year.
  • Keep the brake pads and fluids up to date as it will help in keeping the drums of your brakes in best possible condition and thus sudden failure of brakes can be avoided.
  • You can improve your gas mileage by 1-2 percent by using the manufacturer’s recommendation grade of motor oil and make a habit of using that oil only for your car for its best performance.
  • Make sure that there is enough water in the cells of your battery and this can be easily performed by the battery tube tester kit. For those who feel that they can’t do it themselves, it is suggested that make their battery also checked when they change the fuel of car.
