Ferrari is one of the top brands in the international auto markets and it has been bringing some extraordinary sports cars from 1945. The reason for the Ferrari’s fame is that its cars always come up with some innovative styles and features and the result of its top quality is that many of the Ferrari’s are been considered as the top cars of the world. The main fame of the Ferrari cars is their best participation in the formula one racing and whenever speed is concerned Ferrari models dominates in the racing cars.

The main theme of this article is to discuss the most expensive Ferraris cars and being the most expensive ones they are also the most famous in the world as well.

1. Jim Glickenhaus’ Ferrari P4/5

Price: $5 million

This is one of the most classic and stylish model by Ferrari which has made its place in the racing arena from the time it was released. It is more like a modern racing Ferrari with 20” tires and beautifully styles shape. This car gives true luxury to its driver while driving and the speed makes him flying in the air. This was initially commissioned by an American collector James Glickenhaus, and for the first time released to the public at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours followed by an international debut at the 2006 Paris Show.

Glickenhaus has bought this car for $1 million in 2005 and then it was sending for modelling to Pininfarina’s Italian design studio. This car after its complete makeover was approved by Ferrari and the assurance was that this car has all the capabilities to raise the Ferraris flag in the international racing arena.

2. James Coburn’s 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder

Price: $10,894,900

This is another very expensive and fantastic car by Ferrari which was brought in the market in about 1960’s. It has now days revealed in the RM Auctions/Sotheby’s Ferrari Legend and Passion auction and the owner is famous actor James Coburn. It could be better called as the legend of Ferraris history which has given a numbers of wins to the Ferrari’s name. The car was in fact the best loved 4,300cc car with 8 cylinders.

The fame of this car can be seen from the news that; the website containing the information related to this car has received 300,000 hits over 2.5 million pages visited in its first week. After this remarkable success nothing could be said doubted about the achievements and capabilities of this car.

3. Ferrari 250 GTO

Price: $28.5 million

This is another legendry car by Ferrari which is a dual purpose car as it is designed both for streets and races. This was also brought in the 1960’s and the fame was very fantastic among the peoples of that time.

According to the news 35 cars were made of this model in 1963/64 and the whole series had got the huge round of a clause and buyer’s welcome. It was basically designed to compete the GT racing and the past races had proven this claim. This car was also a symbol of luxury with quality and this is the reason this car is claimed to be the most expensive Ferrari.
