The Audi R8 has been the fastest production car in the Audi lineup for quite some time. Yet, it has taken a step ahead at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show to offer the fastest R8 todate. The German automaker displayed the limited edition 2015 R8 Competition with an engine upgrade and a little makeover.

Under the hood of 2015 Audi R8 Competition is a 5.2 liter FSI V10 engine paired with the seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox. This time, the engine generates 570 horsepower, which is 20 hp greater than that of V10 Plus. This would let the supercar achieve a top speed of 320 km/h with 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.2 seconds.

In addition to boosted engine power, the Audi R8 Competition also receives some design updates. Some of the prominent touches include black carbon fiber wing, slide blades, engine cover, rear diffuser and aero parts, which add to the sporty design as well as performance. Moreover, the exhaust pipes and wheels are also tinted with high-gloss black paint in contrast with the carbon fibered body panels.
