Teens Smart Drive Campaign by Bridgestone Americas
Driving recklessly has led to more deaths than war and therefore many companies and ageoncies are now concerned about how they can curb this problem. As per the reports in North America most of the accident cases involve teenagers and young inexperienced drivers that accelerate their vehicles beyond their control. The survey done shows that majority of the accident cases happening in North America and around the world includes teenagers and young drivers who are between age 16 and 21 and therefore they need to be educated about how they should drive safely on the roads.
Bridgestone Americas has now decided to take the initiative and therefore they have come up with Teens Drive Smart contest. The all new Bridgestone Teens Drive Smart Video Contest will be a different kind of awareness campaign that will allow kids to know more about driving safely on the roads. The campaign will allow youngsters to participate and create a short video that would be around 25 to 55 seconds. Youngsters can provide information on driving safely in their own creative style. They can submit their videos to Bridgestone Americas and the company will sort out ten videos from the list.
All the ten videos will then be uploaded by Bridgestone Americas on Teensdrivesmart.com where it will be open to the public. People can then take a look at all the videos and start voting for it. The top three videos that get the maximum number of votes will be selected as winners. The first prize winner will get $25,000 college scholarships and the video will be uploaded on MTV Jumbotron in Times Square in New York for a month. The second winner gets $15,000 college scholarship and the third prize winner will be entitled to $10,000 college scholarship. The remaining seven finalists will get a set of tires from Bridgestone Americas. This will in some way allow kids to understand the importance of driving safely on the road.
