The 2010 Acura got a very tremendous welcome in the market some months ago and now an announcement has been provided from the developers stating that they are going to recall 1,850 models of this splendid 2010 model because of some potential air bag problem. It has been seen that the though the interiors of the new model were truly amazing but the airbag safety feature fails to deploy properly. A statement has been provided by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration “During the manufacturing process, the dashboard covering material may have not been properly laser scored to allow complete deployment of the front passenger’s SRS airbag”.
Gary Robinson a Spokesman from the company told to media that about two percent of the vehicles recalled are likely affected, the company also reported that they have not yet received any incident’s information that would have been caused of this problem. The company is now planning to inform all the owners of the vehicles via mail and then they will be required to take their vehicles to the dealers in order to solve this issue and it has been reported that the recall will be only for the models manufactured between November 20, 2009 and March 22, 2010.
