At the 60th National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) U.S. Nationals event, Mopar offered racers and fans a sneak peak of the 2015 Challenger Drag Pak test vehicle. Mopar celebrates the 50th anniversary of Gen II 426 Race HEMI this year. The 2015 Challenger Drag Pak is the latest step in the evolution the brand has gone through involving 150 V8 Challenger Drag Paks, fifty V10 versions, as well as 426 Race HEMI upgrade kits.

The vehicle is built on the 2015 Dodge Challenger platform sporting a lustrous white body with striped package and 426 HEMI identification. It also features 2015 Dodge Challenger front and rear fascia trim, full roll cage and rear spoiler. It has a 426 cubic-inch Race HEMI with an aluminium block, steel liners and custom engine calibration. The engine is assisted by a 727 automatic transmission, a race style stick shifter with integral line lock and aluminium driveshaft.
The interior is also borrowed from 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with slight modifications including addition of Mopar gauges, lightweight racing seats, safety net and five point harnesses. It is equipped with 15-inch front and rear wheels and features precision performance front and rear brake rotors.

All the specifications of the vehicle are preliminary and being evaluated, as they are waiting for NHRA approval as well as feedback from the racers.
