
General Motors break their record at 1 million units for trucks and pickups this year
General Motors sold over 256,160 cars in just US in the month of July 2014. This was a groundbreaking record sales since 2007. Overall, they sold 9 % more vehicles as compared to 2013.
All sales were high be it retail, fleet or commercial. Their sales for trucks, pickups and crossovers sky rocketed in July, bringing total units up to 1,048,114. This is not only a record for GM but across all automobile manufacturers. With a huge array of new models and incomparable prices, GM is a favourite among US families, especially now with the boost in economy.
Some of the best sellers, in terms of percentage sold compared to last year were – Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet SUV’s, Buick encore and crossover. Second half of the year is expected to see a jump in sales for pickups so an exciting 2014 awaits GM.
