Ford Spending Some More on Hybrids

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

The trend of developing hybrid models should be best called as a fever which is surrounded in the whole world and the auto mobile developers are getting crazy for it. Ford should be considered as the top most developers who are working on the hybrid models and recently the company has announced that they are looking forward towards the hybrid models of 2012 and the company has announced that it would spend about $135 million in the designing and engineering of the product key hybrid electric component in U.S plants.

Earlier the company has showed up the Ford Fusion hybrid sedan and that model earned up a great success for the company and may be because of such great success the company has shifted its interests towards the development of some more hybrid models for the international auto industry. The most prominent models which are coming in future are the Escape and Focus, according to the reports the company is mainly planning to launch five new hybrid models in U.S by 2012 and then in Europe and other countries in the following years.

These new decisions have not only benefited the end users but the jobs at Ford have also being increased and according to some reports the new move of ford has added 220 more jobs in the country and among them 50 are of electric vehicle engineers and 170 plant worker jobs. So overall we can say that Ford is really planning high for the hybrid markets and sooner we will see a great blaster from the company’s side.
