All-New 2013 GMC Acadia-A Review

GMC unveiled 2013 Acadia and Acadia Denali in most happening show of the year 2012-Chicago Auto Show. U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing Tony DiSalle said, “With an award-winning combination of space, capability and fuel-efficiency, Acadia epitomizes GMC’s ‘never say never’ attitude. For 2013, our engineers and designers applied that same attitude to developing the new Acadia.”

Acadia model was introduced by GMC in 2007; it was the first Crossover from the manufacturing house of GMC. Since 2007 it won great admiration of customers, it added a handsome profit figure in GMC account with best sales till 2011. GMC included Denali model in its product line in middle of 2010 and offered a best Acadia brand with ground-breaking luxury and style oriented features.

Powertrain

2013 Acadia models are equipped with 3.6L Direct Injection V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing that delivers 288 hp and torque of 270 lb-ft.

Exterior

2013 Acadia has been formulated a strong, powerful and macho vehicle, three bar grille adds and improved upright design ads unique style in its exterior. Refined look is given to all Acadia models by diffused LED running lamps, customers can choose among standard projector beam or optional HID headlamps.

GMC has styled its exterior with the aim to give it distinctive looks, new rear spoiler and improved rear glass makes its exterior stunning looking.

Interior

Interior of 2013 Acadia compliments the exterior in true spirits; advanced soft touch material has been used in its interior with French stitching. Red Ambient Light makes dashboard stylish and appealing. Denali and SLT models will be available with aluminum accent on doors, dashboard and center console.

Safety Features

2013 Acadia is the very first GMC vehicle that features new and improved center air bag system. This system is especially formulated to protect the occupants from any kind of crash. GM executive director of Vehicle Safety and Crashworthiness Gay Kent said, “While no restraint technology can address all body regions or all potential injuries, the front center air bag is designed to work with the vehicle’s other air bags and safety belts to collectively deliver an even more comprehensive occupant restraint system.”
