Starting at $23,400, the 2013 RAM trucks provide both power and maximum towing capacity for personal and business use amongst all drivers. The 2013 series includes the 1500, 2500, and 3500 with varying features available. We recently took each series model for a test drive through the hills of Pennsylvania… the end result is each RAM truck representative of pure power. At the same time they all handled with amazing agility, we felt safe at highway speeds and looping, hilly roads alike.

2013 RAM Trucks

The basic RAM 1500 gets up to 25 highway miles per gallon and 17 city miles. It has an available 5.7L HEMI V8 engine, proving its highway mileage. For towing, it has a 10,450-pound maximum capacity, including an exclusively available RamBox cargo management system. The 1500 is also available in regular, crew, and quad cab with three bed sizes for the maximum efficiency. With over a dozen other available features, the truck also has 3G Wi Fi,navigation system set into the dash, and power sliding rear window. Safety features include hill start assist and trailer sway control. The powerful frame also enhances driving experiences by absorbing impacts from all angles and protects drivers and their cargo.

Like other advancing vehicle models, the 2013 RAM truck offers a Uconnect system with its wireless communication, allowing drivers to check email, contact emergency services, and get weather reports. The Uconnect also gives drivers the capability to use voice commands on hands free phone calls to keep all attention on the road. We had a nice conversation with a nearby Philly RAM dealership – Reedman Toll of PA, about the sometimes confusing Uconnect system. However, after speaking with these RAM truck experts, the Uconnect system all makes since, and as the guys at Reedman showed us, the communication system has been improved greatly to be more user friendly and easier to learn in the first place.

Security and safety is important for all drivers including the creators of the renovated RAM 2500 and 3500. With more than 45 different features, drivers are able to maintain all aspects of stability when on the road. Features include smart front and mid body airbags, keyless entry and remote start, and remote control locking feature that makes the entire car become a safe box with one click of a button.

With a bigger truck comes advanced engine cooling systems and intake improvements. Because of this, the RAM engines are able to produce massive torque and efficiency. While the engine cools itself and the heavy duty RAMS are now using the DEF strategy to keep emissions and operating costs low and under control for drivers. Also, Ram offers front axel-disconnect electronically to improve fuel economy as much as one mile per gallon.

Though the basic 1500 RAM truck has been innovated to improve driving quality for most, the 2500 and 3500 models are built for power and extensive towing capabilities. With advanced safety features and new interior technology, the RAM trucks provide safe and smooth driving on highway and city streets.
