Volkswagen has proved itself to be the best car sellers in Europe and they have been seen very busy in their projects throughout the year and now while talking to the news media the CEO Martin Winterkorn said that “There are some who knock on our door. Some really want to come under our roof as they see we’re on a good path strategically. But we are satisfied with the current line-up. I don’t see any need (for further M&A activity)”. This suggests an end to the further strategic deals in the near future.

This year was undoubtedly very successful for the Volkswagen as they had signed some very significant deals with the other automakers and the best among those deals was to take one fifth stakes in Suzuki motors and even before that they had got 49.9 percent stake in Porsche’s sports car business. So overall this year was full of strategic plans by them and they have earned quite a good profit for them. For the coming year Volkswagen doesn’t have any short coming plans and this was revealed when Martin said that company’s recent spree has been ended with the taking of the stake in Suzuki motor corp.
