Introducing the world’s 5 most favored super sports cars, with a hint of what they’re all about

1. McLaren 570S

Here we have the baby of the McLaren family – the 570S. As you’d expect from the talented sports car manufacturer, the newest member is just stunning. There aren’t many other words to use to describe the McLaren, but we can say that it’s nothing like you have ever seen before. The 570S’s 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 means that it can accelerate from 0-100 mph in just 6.3 seconds and keep going to a top speed of 204MPH.

2. Honda NSX

The new NSX has some gargantuan shoes to fill, thanks to the previous model that was adored by so many. With Honda leaving us nearly 30 years without a replacement, the automotive community was expecting huge things and they haven’t disappointed. Taking a classic and blending it with such a large array of modern technology is not for the faint-hearted, get it wrong and you could lose a huge portion of your customer base. Thankfully the combination of petrol power and electric motors has pleased everyone in the motor industry and we’re sure this will become another classic soon enough.

3. Porsche 911 Turbo

Like nothing you have ever witnessed before, Porche’s 911 Turbo is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 3.0 seconds. Not to mention that its raw speed is incredible – even at quite some speed, the 911 still has the grip and stability to cope with nearly every condition. On the whole, it’s normal to look at a Porsche and presume that they are bound to be tricky to drive, but actually, this fantastic super sports car is pleasantly easy to maneuver at increased speed and to top it all off, it’s comfortable too. If you’re searching for one of the world’s most renowned super sports cars that’s practical and loaded with clever tech, then Porsche’s 911 is the one for you.

4. Jaguar F-Type R

If you’re still waiting for the perfect super sports car that’s capable of steering faithfully at top speed, take the F-Type R on a road trip and you’ll soon discover that you no longer have to wait for a manufacturer to hear your requests. With an incredible – but not as great as the 911 Turbo – top speed of 186mph, accelerating from 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds, Jaguar’s F-Type R has proven to be one of the top 5 super sports cars the world has ever seen. John from the California Group said that ‘The F-Type from Jaguar is simply superb, a British icon that will hopefully become a classic like the E-Type.’

5. BMW i8

Perhaps it doesn’t feel quite as fast as the 911 Porsche, but with an acceleration from 0-62mph in just 4.4 seconds, BMW’s i8 super sports car is still rather superb! BMW was one of the first manufacturers to produce a sport orientated electric hybrid, its futuristic design has inspired many other car makers to dip their toes into the performance segment of hybrid cars. We’re sure the S model will be just as good and hopefully tackle the request for a higher top speed!
