Ford motor corp. has added a new amazing Taurus based squad car which will come to the international markets in 2011 and it is also a nice replacement to the Crown Victoria in Police fleets across the country. The new car will be an all-wheel drive powered by an Ecoboost V6 engine and this will be an exciting addition to the Ford’s fleet of police cars that is prevailing in all the markets.
The new Ford cop will be featuring two motors: one will be the 3.5 liter V6 Ecoboost that will produce hp of 365 with 350lb-ft of torque and the other one is the 3.5 liter V6 engine producing 263hp. Some of the very fantastic new technologies are also added with the squad car from the Blue Oval’s technology Bin and that will include Sync, blind-spot detection, cross-traffic alerts, a rear view camera and a standard stability control.
Additionally the brakes have been made a bit larger with standard 18 inch steel wheels for ventilation and with that the engine cooling has been made more enhanced. The interiors are claimed to be designed from the street cars and thus the overall structure and development is quite well or a police interceptor.
