February 26, 2010 / by / 0 Comment

Hummer’s Sale As we have seen that GM has successfully completed the sale of its Swedish brand ‘Saab’ to another automaker ‘Spyker’ but the companies has entered into controversies because of the sale of another exciting brand ‘Hummer’ and now it has been reported that GM will wind down the brand just because the proposed sale to China’s Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co. Ltd. Has fell down because of some controversial issues. The Chinese company was actually unable to get government’s approval for the sale as reported by some source. History shows that GM has being through such kind of issues many times and this time this failure of deal seals down four other GM’s brands as GM is winding down Saturn after its sale fell down in September. For the hummer’s case we can’t lose hopes because same situation also occurred for Saab and GM was up to roll down the brand when finally Spyker got the deal and that deal is completed now, at any time the deal might get settled with some other company and we can hear the good news from GM’s side so nothing could be said more clearly at this time.

July 31, 2009 / by / 0 Comment

GM is about to lease on luxury vehicles with GM as a basis to leasing out the business focus on luxury and fancy basis. The Vice President of General Motors, Bob Lutz, said that they were going back to leasing out in a massive scale. They are going to lease to drive the volume up as without that, it is non-profitable. Lutz has said that the lower profit is going to make a higher amount of sale and overall keep the business revolving faster. In a way GM does not lease out luxury vehicles that regularly. But now things are going to be changed in a variety of ways. According to Lease Trader demands for leased cars are higher in many ways. The Cadillac Escalade is, for instance, up by 22% and as the market is escalating back there would be many ways to free up the economy. Some are looking to save money, by adding a cold air intake or an exhaust that improves performance and also saves on gas.
