Record holding articles are hot items at markets like auctions. Recently, a very old car has been auctioned for a very high price, which showed that those who love legendary products can pay anything to get their hands on those items. The car that was auctioned was a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, which was sold for $12.1 million. The event occurred this Sunday at Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. In the time period of 1957-1958, only a scarce number of 22 Testa Rossa were manufactured. This one about which we are talking was one of those 22 cars. It wore the chassis No. 0714TR. Also, this celebrated vehicle was placed fourth at the Buenos Aires 1,000 km race in 1958, where the car made its debut in car racing. Afterwards, Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa was sold to a US collector. He then comprehensively used the car in SCCA events. Meaning of the term “Testa Rossa” is “Red Head” in Italian.  This amazing car has been auctioned by RM Auctions and Sotheby’s, called the Leggenda e Passione.
