Steve SaleenMustang’s 45th anniversary and the launch of the 2010 model at the same time indicate that Steve Saleen, quite well-known as ‘all things Mustang’ has upped his sleeve for something really exciting.

SMS Supercars, Saleen’s new company has launched a sketch of the new go-fast Mustang that will be available in the 460 and the 460X versions. The models have been quite aptly launched at the time of Mustang 45th anniversary that was celebrated at Barber Motorsports Park, Ala.

In this new model some special attention has been paid to the car’s fascias, air induction as well as diffuser. The coming model will also get new brakes and suspension geometry while leather and Alcantara have been used inside.

A V8 4.6-liter, which produces 470hp and 427lb-ft torque, has been housed in the 460, while the 460X has a 5.0-liter V8 with 655hp and 600 lb-ft torque. The SMS 296 supercharger has been employed in both of them.

There is five-speed manual in the 460 model, while there is a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. It is being expected that the car will reach 60mph in four-second.
