The world’s most acclaimed plug-in hybrid sports car, McLaren P1 has recently been involved in a major accident at Dallas, Texas. Although the complete details of the crash are not yet known, we have received a photo witnessing the incident.

From the picture it is evident that the gray colored P1 is in pretty bad condition. The rear end is badly smashed up, and the rooftop is also damaged, which depicts the car has most probably rolled over. Luckily, the passengers did not incur any injuries in the accident. However, this crash will obviously cost them a very expensive overhauling.

This is the first major accident that came across since McLaren began shipping the 903 horsepower plug-in hybrid sports cars to the owners last year. But before this one, we saw another McLaren P1 crashing into the tollbooth in Japan earlier this month. However, that was a minor smash with a few scrapes on front bumper and underbody.
