Jeep Cherokee Set for a Grand Debut at the Geneva Motor Show
Jeep’s mid-sized SUV is all set to debut at the 84th annual Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to start on 4th of March. After a successful run in the United States in 2013, Cherokee will be making a grand entry in the European automotive markets.
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee appears to be identical to its American version; however it will be powered by 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter Multijet II turbo diesel engines providing 140bhp / 350NM and 170bhp / 350NM. The all-new Cherokee will be the first of its kind to offer a nine-speed automatic transmission. Alongside these variants, the company will also be offering a standard 3.2 liter V6 engine capable of generating an impressive 271bhp and 315NM of torque. A 2.4 liter Tigershark MutliAir 1-4 engine will also be on offer for Russia and the Middle East.
The SUV comes with an excellent transmission and a legendary 4×4 suspension to deliver an extraordinary driving experience to you, allowing you to yield maximum utility. Further improving its performance are: the Active drive, Active Drive II and Jeep Active Drive Lock features.
Jeep exemplifies exquisite exterior design integrated with comfy interior, making Cherokee a driver’s treat. Continuing the legendary Jeep design streak, Cherokee has a stylish seven-slotted grille and a waterfall hood. Adding to the design are its advanced Daytime Running Lights made from innovative LED lightning technology. Sleek design combines high precision controls with its wide 17 inch tires that provide a firm grip on sturdy tracks.
Cherokee’s interior is as exciting as the exterior. Jeep has carved the mid-sized SUV with the signature trapezoidal plan view feature from the inside in accordance with its trapezoidal wheel arches on the outside. As for the safety aspect, Cherokee has already been awarded five star rating by the Euro NCAP last year for its excellence in safety provision. The SUV secured a remarkable score of 83/100,
The all-new SUV will be featuring three trim levels inspired from breathtaking locations including Morocco, Grand Canyon and Mount Vesuvio.
