2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.95 seconds

GM has revealed the internal testing stats for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 claiming a sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.95 seconds and completion of a quarter mile in 10.95 seconds at a speed of 127 mph.

These stats are recorded for Z06 standard Stingray equipped with the new eight-speed automatic transmission and the Z07 performance package which comes with Brembo carbon ceramic brake rotors, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and extra aero bits for more power.

With the seven-speed manual transmission, the Corvette Z06 sprints from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and hits the quarter mile mark in 11.2 seconds at the speed of 127 mph. The supercar is propelled by a supercharged LT4 V-8 engine harnessing 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The Z06 also has the best brake record of all production cars by GM as it stops from 60 mph in 99.6 ft. Lateral acceleration of the car is 1.2 g which beats the previous best of 1.13 g by 0.07g.

GM has set a starting price of $78,995 for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, hitting the markets in early 2015.
