Beyond that, the daily driver also will find this car perfectly fits his or her needs.”
Let’s have a look at some of its amazing features.
The new GT500 exhibits a stylish exterior with two LED bars in the front and rear, the body colored rocker panels and a new high-gloss black panel between the taillamps. The chassis is lightweight and helps the vehicle to run faster. The quad-tip exhaust looks elegant. The front splitter and black-painted upper and lower grille adds to the exterior. The two new sets of forged-aluminum wheels are available. They include 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels coupled with Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G: 2 tires.
The interior is comfortable and you can easily relax in the seats. The cabin is spacious and roomy and you can easily load your luggage. It is equipped with luxurious accessories.
It is powered by a 5.8-liter V8 aluminum-block engine that can deliver 662 horsepower. The new Twin Vortices Series 2300 blower produce 2.3 liters of displacement. The cooling system has been updated and an intercooler heat exchanger’s volume is increased upto 36 percent. SVT Powertrain team leader, Jeff Albers said,
“Every change we made is an improvement in horsepower and in airflow. The other changes are about making sure the parts can withstand the pressures when the engine is making that power.”
The acceleration is faster and the boost has been increased from 9 to 14 psi. A top track speed of more than 200 mph is achieved. Plasma Transferred Wire Arc liner coating is used while designing the engine. It is a process that applies a 150-micron composite coating on the internal surfaces of engine cylinder bores. An impressive EPA rating of 15 mpg is achieved in the city while 24 mpg is attained on highway. SVT chief engineer Jamal Hameedi said,
“With the driveshaft we were able to eliminate a joint and add enough stiffness and drive capacity to get us to our top speed and handle the torque. The car makes so much power and torque that we needed to go through the entire driveline system to ensure it moves to the wheels in a manageable way.”
Safety has been improved with New Brembo brakes featuring six-piston calipers in the front. AdvanceTrac system not only makes handling easy but also let you drive safely. A high-tech launch control system controls the acceleration. While, an optional Performance Package is available with electronically adjustable dampers and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
